Our Team

James Fouche

CEO / Chief Creative Officer

Born to a Production Designer, Sandy Veneziano, and Construction Coordinator, George Fouché, James grew up on the set of some of most iconic films to date, including Dead Poet Society (1989), Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992), and Father of the Bride Part II (1995). After studying screenwriting, philosophy, and film criticism, James has worked in Visual Effects Production at some of the more prestigious and awarding winning visual effects companies in the world - including Digital Domain, Technicolor’s MPC, and RodeoFX. He’s delivered visual effects and managed teams working on some of the top grossing films of all time, including Marvel’s The Avengers (2012), Disney’s Maleficent (2014), and X Men: Days of Future Past (2014). Recently, he has delivered work for Warcraft (2016), Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016), and Season 6 of HBO’s Game of Thrones.

Dan Mapes

Chief Operating and Financial Officer

With over 20 years at the intersection of internet technology and entertainment as an entrepreneur, creative artist and inventor, Dan's interests range from Gaming and Commerce to Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence. He has been a consultant to both startups and large corporations and has run production companies working on AAA games (Tony Hawk, Tekken Series, etc.), commercials, music videos and event production.


He has been a New Media consultant to Apple, Intel, Shanghai Entertainment, CCTV and other technology and media companies. He founded eCity Studios (game character modeling and mocap) in Los Angeles which was sold to VSI Holdings and Digital Motors Corporation (advanced media databases) in San Francisco which was sold to Arriba Software Corporation. He has an MBA in International Business and was awarded the Flood Fellowship for his PhD studies in Artificial Intelligence at UC Berkeley.

Ken Blackford

Chief Technology Officer

Ken has spent over 20 years in Software Development and Architecture, writing code in over 38 Languages. He has extensive knowledge in digital hardware, VR software, game development, 3D asset development, physics engines, mass multiplayer environments, corporate accounting, data warehousing, virtual commerce, and global telecommunications. Ken started his background in electronics, electrical, mechanical and architectural engineering, robotics, and machinery. Ken has written code for companies such as - Disney, ABC, Live Nation/Ticketmaster, Electronic Arts, IBM, MCI, Sprint, Fusion, Maxtor, Seagate, Computerland, and Ford Motor Company.
